What is cat rosettes?

Cat rosettes are a type of coat pattern found in many breeds of cats, including Bengal, Ocicat, and Egyptian Mau. They are large, circular spots with a different color and/or pattern around the edges, resembling the shape of a rose. The center of the rosette is typically lighter in color than the outer edge and can vary in size. Rosettes can be uniform in shape and size or irregular, adding to the cat's distinctive and attractive appearance. Breeders often strive for well-defined, large rosettes, which are highly prized in the show ring.
